About

The more we practice, the more this habit begins part of our routine”

Rockia Kebet

Alama’s Garden is a prototype of environmental friendly best-practice center (recycling, reusing ) and a “laboratory” for organic gardening (permaculture …) to provide high-quality, environment-based unit of study for preschool and for children under 12, out of school.

Through the development of their basic awareness, Alama’s Garden prepares tomorrow recycling advocates and ecological leaders, to understand how to solve socio-economic problems as a driving force for future environmental management from their early childhood.
Children are more likely to bring these reinforced teachings home and encourage their family to adopt good reflexes for the environment (to recycle as well for example). Alama’s garden brings to the next generations skills they will need facing the 21 century’s environment challenges

Our Work

Rk4 Dev is a willingness Inspiration to change what we find unfair and that could get simple answers, based on our theory of change : children from slums could make the difference for themselves, instead of waiting for their governments if they were better tooled with the 21st century skills they need to succeed in life and heal their family and communities. We wondered, why so much money was spent to help African countries primary educational system with so less results?
Why children we met were starving from hunger while was it was o easy to teach to grow natural food ?
Why girls were always in charge of the housework’s and often failed at school ? From these question, answers that came were unacceptable. That’s why we founded RKbienfaisance a humanitarian charity, running Case à Livres and Alama’s Garden our two prototypes . Alama’s Garden is a prototype of environmental friendly best-practice center (recycling, reusing ) and a “laboratory” for organic gardening (permaculture …) to provide high-quality, environment-based unit of study for preschool and for children under 12, out of school. We need volunteers to get involved and help us reach our educational goals

We Believe

We focus on children because we believe that children are the catalyst for development inside their communities if the barriers that block them are removed.
We work with children from their early childhood period because our method should be transmitted very early in their development.
